UAN try out

On 9th Feb, Monday I had a competition at pardede hall. It was called UN try out competition. The first reason I joint the competition was because of the prize offered for the first rank which was 1.5 millions. Besides, I also thought if I joint this competition in order to win the prize, I would have at least studied and got prepared for UAN materials. Well, at last, until the d-day, I didn’t study at all, just taking a quick glance at math formula on Sunday. I was actually quite regret for being lazy to study, but that was the nature, I can do nothing..haha…, especially when my friends said that we would be sitting close to each other and it was so easy to work on the questions together as they had ever done the same thing there. I just regreted that I can’t really test my ability to tackle the questions or perhaps to accomplish my goal, that is to master some lessons of UN materials..

In the morning, I followed my friend’s car to Pardede. We arrived there quite early, and there we saw Hugo and Deny who had arrived first. We needed to wait for 1 hour before we could enter the exam place. By the time we got into it, I felt so dizzy with the awful smell. Besides, it was very hot and stuffy. There were no tables at all, only chairs arranged closely one to another. There were 13 people from sutomo1 following the test : Ohlyvia, Andry, Hugo, karina, Sylvia ( Vester), Kevin, Calvin, Ade, Salman, Deny, Yusuf, (don’t know the name), and me. We sat quite close to each other. Then, we spent about one hour sitting there before the competition started. There were thousands of students joining the competition because besides UN cmpttn, there was still other ones, such as Math Olympiad try out, and so on.

Then, aproximately 10 a.m. we started to do the test. The questions were arranged from B.Indo, English, Math, Physics, Chem,and Bio.
Ohlyvia sat next to me, and we decided to do english first. After finishing english, we started to move to next part. I looked at math first and she looked at bio. After spending some minutes, I just managed to do half of math questions and she only did 4 out of  15. Then we shared our answers to each other..haha.. After that we moved to chem. This was just the same, I could just do half and she was either. Then, we began our lovely cooperation with each other (Actually all of us have planned to cooperate which was why we sat next to each other). She managed to copy B.Indo from Andry and I managed to copy physics from Calvin. hahaha… how ashame we did not finish half of the questions by ourselves. At the moment the clock ticked to end the time, at which all of us began to ask each other of the left ones, we managed to filled in some again which we missed. After all, we just missed to fill in about approx 5 questions.

Afterwards, Pauca (Ohlyvia) , Salman,Ade, Kevin and I decided to return to school as there was a lab lesson in the afternoon. Kevin,Salman, and Ade still returned to Pardede by the time they finished lab, while pauca and I continued on our daily activities, that is to go to have our tuition. She went to BS and I went to Winfield.
That’s all — got me so tired for the whole day..

Luckily, I didn’t join them to wait at Pardede because until 7 p.m, there was still no announcement about who is the winner. What a tiring day. The announcement finally came out at about 7.30 p.m.
I was quite grateful with the result anyway as I got the third, and as predicted pauca just got next to me as we had the same answers..haha..
The third place was not my genuine ability, it was just my luck.. Thx God I managed to win at least the third prize, hahaha…..

p2s1 today –> scrabble

This morning, I had a scrabble game for p2s1, ended in a good start for the first round,hehe…
Well, actually it wasn’t me who joined the game at first, I came to substitute one of my friends. She said she couldn’t join it because she had another competition. But finally when that competition was postponed, she still didn’t take part in it as she was the committee, so finally I went to have the game with my friend who is very great in scrabble. I myself had been playing scrabble for only the third time just now. With no experience and no practising I went to school, hoping for luck,because scrabble is still a game with 50% based on luck. Luckily, the game was played by two people at once, so I didn’t need to be afraid as I know that my friend was a good player at it..hehe…
Both of us wore the same color of dress – lucky yellow..
Each board had 4 teams versus one another, and the game started….

and finally…….
yeah, we’ve got quite a high score. Cool..
I was actually quite guilty because almost 90% was her effort while most of the time I was just sitting there T.T, but it’s okay, at least we won the first round…hehe…

Damn it!!

Today, I hould have visited my  friends’ house, gathering with them and having lunch @ Sun. But what happened then??  I just stayed at home, sitting in front of PC.
I couldn’t sleep last night for having some “serious” illness, and just managed to sleep well by 5 a.m, fiuhh..
So I woke up at 10.30, zzzz.., and i found myself very lazy to move because I’ve got stomache, that is why I couldn’t go out..
Damn!!!

Happy Chinese New Year, GoNg xi – GOnG xi!!

We have a week off from school for cny this year, what an amazing and historical thing,yeah.. My teacher said that this is the first time Sutomo give its students a week holiday for chinese new year..
First day of cny, as usual, I only went to my grandma’s house, saing Kiong hi to everybody there and I got red pocket..hehe.. In that first day, I just felt quite unlucky, compared to previous years, because ” they” are decreasing in amount and quality..hahaha…
In the second day, as usual, we went to other family’s house. It was nicer in the second day than in the first day,hahaha…
The third day was also the same that we ( my family and I) went to other’s house again and again.
well, I’ve got quite many families who always go to visit each other,hehe.. Those make me quite busy for the first 3 day – Going out from home at about 12 and only be able to reach home by 9 or 10 p.m.
Most of the time is spent in my grandma’s house because my mom’s sis s coming from jakarta.
In the fourth day, I went out to K2 with friends. It was my first time going to K2,hmm..
We sang a lot with an “amazing” sound,haha..
In the ffth day- which is today, I’ve got nothing to do at home, sleeping for quite long, and updating my blog now..hahaha…

What do you choose?? EQ or IQ?

People used to say that if someone had a great IQ meant that he would be a successful man later in his future. Having a high IQ had always been related of how succeed they were. Besides, it was also said that IQ couldn’t be changed. It was your destiny to have such thing.

These days, research has proven that IQ only contribute 20 % of your success, that it is not the most important thing you should have. IQ is primarily only related to your academic things in school. In a book that I have just read, it is said that there is an intelligence which is definitely more important that IQ and that is EQ. As what I have stated, that IQ only convey 20 % for your success, EQ and SQ contribute the rest of the percentage. We can see why people with a high IQ fail and people with a so-so IQ can be very successful. We can also see that a lot of men with higher IQ work for the lower one. This is sure because EQ is more important than IQ.

So how can we define EQ?
Based on a book by Daniel Goleman, it is said that emotional intelligence includes enthusiasm, self motivation, the power to control ourselves and our eagerness, the power to control our emotion, sympathy, and how we relate or communicate with people in society. The main characteristic of people who shows great EQ is the one who show great interest in making a relationship with people, esp the one who can make a close relationship, who can keep and harmonize their relationship, who is usually a popular person in his surrounding, who is so discipline, and who always feels sympathy to people around him.

Here are the five basic emotional intelligence:
1. We should recognize our feeling and emotion, about when we feel happy, when we feel sad, and why we can feel like that.
2. We should be able to control our emotion, don’t a be a slave of our own emotion, don’t let your negative feeling take over you, instead we should feel our mind with positive one.
3. Motivate yourself -  be able to motivate ourselves to achieve what we want.
4. Be able to recognize other’s feeling – empathy
5. Have the ability to make a good relationship with others, ability to gain popularity, and have leadership quality.

Different from IQ which has always been said as someone’s fate since they were born, Emotional intelligence can be developed. Besides, IQ and EQ is only slightly related,there’s only a petty relation between them.

well, I’ve got to say that I’m quite lucky today..
Actually I’ve predicted this thing gonna happen. 60 % of my mind say that. I’ve got a seet dream at night and that really happens in a different way,wkwkwk..
Actually I don’ t really expect for it, but certainly it make me so happy…
hahahaha…

About univ stuff

From about last year, I’d been searching through the internet and asking for information about universities and their stuff. I’ve got a lot of confusing tasks in deciding what and where should I go..
What is the answer then???
Here, I just wanna share how I found my self – interest back and ready to pursue it..^^
Since I was a little kid, I’ve been dreaming of becoming a really rich woman, I’ve been dreaming of living like a princess, or going everywhere without worrying so much about money for it will come by itself. I’ve been dreaming of becoming a billionaire.
Then, as I grow maturer, there comes a lot of options for me to choose. First, choosing something like IPA or IPS means nothing to me since a lot of people said that someone who goes to ipa can still manage to do ips later, but ips can’t do ipa again in the univ. So, easily I choose IPA.
Here it comes the time to choose something with a lot of difficulty, with a lot of effort to think of which one is really match with me. During SMA 2, I’ve got a lot of changing and unstable mind. I’ve ever considered to become a doctor, which now i find no interest in it. I’ve ever considered law, chemistry, biology, psychology, architect, design, and so on.
But in every choice from one of above, I always find a choice – business staying in my mind. With careful consideration, finally I take business, and now I’m so sure of it. The reasons?
well, I find that my personality is more suitable in social (ips) rather than Ipa which require you to think a lot in one way and use the method or formula provided to solve a problem. Then, i find myself interested in money, and i find my aim to get rich, to establish my own network and so on. That’s why I take business.
Then, what about the univ? where should I go???
It’s still an undetermined thing in my mind..
My mom hopes that I don’t go anywhere, stay only in Medan. She said that going abroad will be a hard time to meet each other and a few other reasons.
My mom and dad also hope that I don’t go to Jakarta for it’s not a safe place, flooding everywhere, and full of crimanalism.

So, should I stay in Medan?? Where to go?? USU?
I don’t know yet, but perhaps 80% I go to USU..

What a SunDay!!

This is an intro – post^^

Today – Sunday, I spent my whole afternoon and evening at home, sitting in front of a computer..
fiuhh…
In the morning, I went to SMB Maha Maitreya, there’s closing ceremony today and we took photos with other members of SMB, quite great..
In short, just wanna say I’ve got a good morning today but a boring afternoon. Yesterday, we’ve a plan to play badminton, but unfortunately all members – my friends cannot participate, fiuhh…
Miss badminton so much, hahaha….
